Bo & Hope History

Hope Williams and Bo Brady met when a teen-aged Hope was babysitting at the Brady’s house. Bo & Hope soon fell in fell in love and started one of the rockiest romances in Salem history. On Hope’s 18th birthday, she and Bo were about make love for the first time when her dad, Doug, caught them and had a heart attack! Later that year, she was forced to marry someone else (DA Larry Welch) in order to protect Bo, but that union was never consummated. While caught up in yet another crime adventure, Bo and Hope finally made love for the first time after a symbolic ceremony dressed as Rhett & Scarlet from “Gone with the Wind”.
In 1985, as a reward for capturing the international terrorist “The Dragon”, Bo and Hope were given a grand English wedding fit for royalty (and paid for by British Royals). Two years later, after the birth of their son Shawn-Douglas, Bo and Hope decided to go on a private adventure. They bought a boat and the threesome sailed away. In 1990, Hope was presumed dead in a fiery explosion – and a grieving Bo returned to Salem.
Bo nearly married Dr. Carly Manning before turning his attention to the young Billie Reed. Billie was a recovering drug addict and prostitute who Bo took under his wing and eventually married in 1985. It wasn't until after the wedding that "Gina" arrived in Salem. It was later revealed that Gina was Hope Williams. When Gina/Hope she started to win back Bo's love, Billie left for Europe and her marriage to Bo was declared illegal.
Bo & Hope began a new life, but not for long! Billie's return to Salem (and decision to join the police force) caused even more conflict. Eventually, Hope began dating Franco, while Bo and Billie increasingly found themselves thrown together for high-stakes cases. They were forced to marry in Rome as part of an undercover “assignment”. Billie later discovered she was pregnant with Bo's child.
While Bo helped Hope uncover the truth of her DiMera brainwashing, Billie gave birth to her and Bo’s child. Sadly, the child was stillborn. Bo & Hope reconciled; but before they could remarry, Stefano wreaked havoc once again – pushing Hope into the arms of John Black. Hope too became pregnant, but she and Bo had a love stronger than any obstacle. On Christmas Eve, they exchanged vows in a perfectly uninterrupted ceremony.
Recently, Billie re-entered the picture with news that the baby she thought was stillborn, was actually alive. Of course, Bo joined Billie in the hunt for their daughter – which once again, threatened to drive a wedge into his relationship to Hope. If history is any gauge, their love will once again beat the odds!
